In my last post about Brexit (see Hotel California), I couldn’t help but sympathize with my British readers. The state of politics there are similar to the state of politics here. While we have different issues, we both suffer from division. You all have Brexit, we have Trump.
Imagine for a moment that you are incarcerated. You do not know when you will be released, for you must gain release from a parole board. You’ve been incarcerated for not 10, not 20, but 29 years. You’ve see this parole board a half dozen times now.

I think the most difficult aspect of doing time isn’t the day to day violence. No, not the fights. Not the thieving or hustling or nefarious deceptions cons engage in for their means to their ends. It’s not the gangs, hate groups, crooked guards, or the poor medical services or the bad food.
Under the current Ohio DRC director, a number of efforts have been made to push rehabilitation. The electronic services I have access to are a direct result of this push, and by far I see these services as beneficial and positive. I record “Video Friday’s In 60 Seconds” videos using a JPay 30 second video option while sitting at a dedicated JPay owned kiosk. I find their video services to be their best services and am thankful they offer it.
